01
How exactly does the 70% heat regeneration save money?
Instead of using 100% steam to heat raw milk from 4°C to 85°C, the incoming cold milk first flows past the hot milk that has just finished pasteurization. They exchange heat through the thin stainless steel plates. The hot milk cools down, and the cold milk warms up for free. You only pay for the steam to bridge the final gap to 85°C, and you use significantly less chilled water to reach the final 4°C.
02
Do I need steam to run an HTST pasteurizer?
For high-capacity industrial lines (2,000L/H and above), a steam boiler is highly recommended for optimal efficiency. However, for smaller standard skids (500L - 1,000L/H), we can configure the system with high-efficiency Electric Heating modules, eliminating the need for a separate boiler installation.
03
Can I connect a homogenizer to this system?
Yes. Our Multistage Plate Sterilizers are designed with pre-reserved interfaces. The homogenizer is typically connected mid-stream (usually after the regeneration heating section at around 60-65°C), where fat homogenization is most effective, before returning to the final heating section.
04
What happens if the milk doesn't reach the target temperature?
Safety is uncompromising. The system is equipped with an automated Flow Diversion Valve. If the PID sensor detects that the milk at the end of the holding tube drops even 0.5°C below the required pasteurization temperature (e.g., 72°C), the valve instantly switches, redirecting the unpasteurized milk back to the balance tank for re-processing. This guarantees 100% compliance with health regulations.
